Stacy Dvorak Tract Dedication

Stacy Dvorak Tract Dedication

May 21, 2025 by

On Saturday, May 17, 2025 a group of nearly 100 people joined together to celebrate the addition of a 53-acre tract of land to the Bradshaw Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA).  This memorial tract celebrates the life of Stacy Dvorak, she was an instrumental part of Scott County Pheasants Forever: she served many years as banquet chair and on the board of directors.  She was named Pheasants Forever Minnesota Volunteer of the Year in 2011 - it's her distinction as the first female and youngest recipient of the award.

Known for her contagious smile and devotion to the land, she appreciated the tradition of hunting passed down from her parents and encouraged others through mentoring opportunities.  Stacy was recognized as a driving force behind the first annual military hunt in Minnesota which provided free pheasant hunting and target shooting to thank soldiers for their service.  She also felt strongly about paying it forward and created a program that gave away 19 free puppies to veterans, again in appreciation for their service.

Her life was cut short 10 years ago, but she was touched by many community members, church attendees, Pheasants Forever, DNR and many conservation and hunting buddies.

In memory of Stacy, 24 different donors including Pheasants Forever chapters, conservation organizations and individuals joined together to purchase this 53-acre addition to the Bradshaw Lake Wildlife Management Area.  This land dedication is a way of honoring her efforts for wildlife conservation, and her dedication to the great outdoors.
